On June 26, the American Council of Engineering Companies presents Construction Site Safety Considerations for the Engineering Firm, by Charlie Geer, PE, Greyling Insurance and Risk Management, Inc., and Debra Lambeck, General Council for Psomas. Participants in this timely webinar will gain a new understanding of the risks of the engineering consultant while present on construction sites and learn ways to help protect themselves from liability.
The webinar will address:
·          Where do most safety claims come from and why?
·          Contractual risks: typical good and bad contract provisions and what the courts are likely to say about them
·          Is there such a thing as an assumed risk?
·          How do moral responsibilities factor?
·          Is the engineers responsibility different if he/she sees generally lax safety procedures by the contractor versus a specific concern such as traffic signage?
·          Does it matter if the engineer has an office on-site?

A series of case studies will be included that demonstrate situations that you or your staff are likely to encounter. Possible courses of action for each case will be discussed.
