Ongoing between ACEC, FHWA and AASHTO regarding executive compensation in firm overhead, together with a related court decision, could significantly impact how firms and their DOT clients account for compensation. In addition, the 2012 updates to the AASHTO Audit Guide, as well as recent guidance from FHWA offer new insights on a number of compliance issues, including the allowability of airfare costs and other critical areas.
To help ACEC members understand these changes and prepare for successful audits, ACEC is presenting a special webinar on May 8 featuring Dan Purvine, Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Kimley-Horn and Chair of the ACEC Audit Subcommittee and Jim Barton, Business Manager, Simon Wong Engineering and a key member of the National Compensation Matrix (NCM) development team.
Executive Compensation and other FAR Compliance Issues--What You Need to Know will review the latest developments with National Compensation Matrix, related court actions that will challenge long-standing methodology for analyzing executive compensation, and how to better support FAR allowability of compensation. The program will review other key issues, including guidance on necessary steps to support the allowability of airfare costs in light of the 2010 FAR change limiting allowable costs to the lowest priced airfare and related discussions with the AASHTO Audit Guide Task Force.
For participants who attended one of FHWA's recent webinars covering their Q&A policy guidance on consultant services, Purvine will highlight a few critical items to note in reviewing these Q&As. He will provide an overview of upcoming training opportunities in the area of audits, FAR compliance, and the AASHTO Audit Guide. Time will be provided at the end of the webinar for questions and answers.
This webinar is a must-attend event for executives and auditors seeking the most up-to-date developments in compensation analysis and FAR allowability.
