2025 Fall Conference

Join us at the ACEC 2025 Fall Conference, where thought leaders, practitioners, and professionals come together at the forefront of innovation and industry excellence. Featuring diverse thematic educational tracks, an expansive industry tradeshow, and an esteemed A/E/C industry audience, this conference is the pinnacle of engineering business management.

The Fall Conference focuses on the breadth of the field, from exploring emerging markets to cultivating creative leadership, embracing new technologies, and showcasing unique solutions developed by both practitioners and facility/infrastructure owners. With over 1000 attendees expected, including A/E/C professionals engaged in private engineering practices across public and private sectors, this event offers unparalleled opportunities for learning and networking.

Traditional topic areas that will be considered are:
  • Engineering Markets, Existing and Emerging
  • Business, Finance, and Firm Management
  • Innovation Trends - IT, Products, Equipment, Services
  • Leadership and Strategy
  • Risk Management and Contracts
  • Public Policy and Infrastructure Investment

In addition to the topics above, the ACEC Technology Committee has identified themes for the fall conference education session focused on technology. Our goal is that all presentations contain industry examples, case studies or use cases that attendees can learn from and implement in their own work once they leave the conference. These focus areas are:

Change Management: Digital transformation requires stronger change management strategies, especially for firm’s that lack resources. Our member firms recognize that more structured training on change management is required. Case studies on change management implementation and frameworks are welcome.

AI and Data Management: Data governance and architecture is identified as critical for enabling AI initiatives. Topics include strategies to better manage data within firms and create value from it as well as how to develop maturity model to guide firms through various stages of AI readiness.

Vendor Selection and Client Contracts: Partnering with technology providers can be complex, particularly around terms of data use and compliance. Additionally, business models are evolving as firm’s move beyond selling professional services through traditional methods. Guidance on managing and communicating value in client contracts and selecting the right technology partners is critical.

Internal Technology Advocacy: Members have discussed the difficulty of securing executive-level support for technology investments. There is recognition that firms need better communication tools to convey the value of new technologies to leadership. Examples of technology investments and management buy-in will enable firms to leave the conference and implement technology adoption in their own firm.

Benchmarking Technology Competency: A significant gap has been identified in the industry’s lack of benchmarks for assessing a firm’s technological maturity. Tools, frameworks, and other resources that allow firms to understand where they are on the digital transformation journey, as well as where they need to go and how to get there are needed.
