Online Education

Thank you for your interest in being part of ACEC’s online education programs. We strive to provide relevant and timely content that helps ACEC members, and the engineering community improve business practices and management, gain insights into emerging or expanding markets, understand and leverage new technology; and develop the future of the engineering workforce.

The following selection criteria is used to determine which programs are selected:

  • Relevance of topic and ability to clearly accomplish learning objectives in an online format. Preference given for sessions that provide professional development hours (PDHs).
  • Presenter and content add significant contributions to the professional dialogue and development of attendees’ skills.
  • Presenter is recognized in the A/E/C industry and has a track record of attracting registrants and promoting the session through his or her professional network and social media platforms.
  • Presenter engages with and includes experts from the engineering community or leaders at engineering firms in the session as panelists, as appropriate.
  • Presenter is a member of ACEC or a state member organization, as appropriate.
  • All proposals must be submitted at least (3) months in advance of the requested program date.
  • All presentations should run 60 or 90 minutes in length, but presenters are welcome to submit proposals for a multi-series program.

Please note: ACEC reserves the right to cancel any program that has not attracted at least 10 participants by the morning of the program date.

If the submission is selected, the presenter will also:

  • Submit a short biography and photo for marketing purposes.
  • Provide a 5-question multiple choice quiz for attendees to fill out at the conclusion of the program.
  • Agree to promote the session through professional and social media networks and include social media handles.
  • Agree to submit the PowerPoint presentation for distribution to attendees at least two weeks in advance of live program.
  • Agree to have the presentation recorded for the benefit of those who cannot attend the live program.

ACEC’s programs attract A/E/C professionals engaged in engineering practice for both public and private markets.

Format
ACEC’s online programs are hosted on Zoom and managed by an ACEC staff member. All presenters are expected to submit their proposal and supporting information at least (3) months in advance of the live program date.
